Linum Consult’s client is a market leader in the distribution of machine parts across the Mining, Civil Engineering and Heavy Industry sectors in Africa. Due to extended growth they are looking to hire two Parts & Services Sales Representatives with experience in the Energy sector for their offices in Dakar and Abidjan.

Responsibilities

  • Being the main point of contact for the Marine and Electric Power customers
  • Developing the customer relationships in order to optimise the After-Sales Service
  • Developing new business opportunities
  • Promoting and selling the company’s entire range of products, parts, and services
  • Promoting and selling all technological solutions
  • Ensuring complete customer relationship management: monitoring activities, managing associated sales opportunities, reporting and measuring customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring continuous customer satisfaction: taking into account alerts, providing responses to the customer to improve the service and services provided
  • Reporting to the client on any actions taken and their progress, whilst ensuring that the work is carried out to the client’s requests
  • Writing and monitoring commercial proposals according to the company’s standards
  • Updating and maintaining the CRM database with relevant information
  • Carrying out competitive intelligence
  • Ensuring the tracking of shipments
  • Participating in budget development alongside the technical department

Profile

  • BAC+3 in a Sales or Technical discipline, ideally in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 years’ experience in technical support, preferably in Electric Power and/or Marine equipment in Africa
  • Fluent in French & English
  • Strong understanding of mechanics, motors, electronics, and electrical components
  • Excellent commercial skills; with a demonstrable history of promoting products and services in a technical environment
  • Autonomous, customer oriented, stress resistant, able to manage priorities, entrepreneurial & quick thinking with an analytic mind
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and other Microsoft software
