Football: Cameroonian Wonder Kid, Steve Mvoue Pens 4-year Contract With Toulouse FC

Eighteen year old Cameroonian international, Steve Regis Mvoue has signed a four year deal at a sum of €1Milion with French Ligue 1 outfit, Toulouse FC.

The teenage player moves from Azur Star FC, a Yaounde-based regional league club to the stade de Toulouse in France.

The young midfielder took to his twitter handle on July, Monday 27, 2020 to express his joy with his friends, family and fans.

He used the social media platform to show appreciation to his mother and Barcelona and Inter Milan legend, Samuel Eto’o Fils.

The youngster tweeted “I am happy to announce my signature at Toulouse FC, thank you God, my family, my relatives, my mother Mvoue Regine who trained me since I was little, my management group Utopia Group, May God bless you to all. Thank you dad, Samuel Eto’o”.

On the French club website, the Cameroonian rising football star wrote “It’s a great joy for me to officially sign with the Toulouse Football Club.

For a long time, and even since my first visit here, I had this desire to play with the club, and work with people I know and with whom I get along with very well”.

He further revealed that he cannot wait to get well and go back to the pitch.

Steve Mvoué will join his brother in the team, Stéphane Zobo who is already at Toulouse as an attacker.

Who Is Steve Mouve?

Steve Regis Mvoue was born in February 2, 2002 in Cameroon to Régine Mvoué, the first ever captain of the Cameroon women’s team.

AT 6, Mvoue joined the youth academy of Azur Star Academy Yaounde. On 4 July 2019, Mvoué signed a pre-agreement with Toulouse FC to join the side on his 18th birthday on February 2020.

At the national level, the teenager, Mvoue made a name in football in a beautiful game during the 2019 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, where he helped Cameroon win a second African title in Tanzania.

Mouve’s brilliance during the show down in Tanzania helped him to be named as tournament’s best player in the process.

The midfielder made his debut entry into the pitch with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in June 2019, under the former Coach Clarence Seedorf. Steve Mouve was fielded at the 68th-minute as a replacement to Paul-Georges Ntep as the Indomitable Lions humbled Zambia 2-1 in a friendly.

At the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil, Mvoue unfortunately could not help his team progress past the group stage from Group E which also had Spain, Argentina and Tajikistan.
